John F. Raspante Joins Graf Repetti & Co., LLP

New York, NY, April 16, 2009 - Graf Repetti & Co., LLP, Certified Public Accountants & Business Advisors with offices in midtown Manhattan and Rockville Centre, NY, is pleased to announce that John F. Raspante, CPA, has joined the firm assuming the dual roles of Director of Compliance and Risk Management as well as Director of Education.
 
In his role as Director of Compliance and Risk Management, Raspante will monitor both Graf Repetti’s own and its clients’ financial risks, helping to mitigate risk exposure and professional liability risk. As Director of Education, he will sharpen the firm’s Continuing Professional Education (CPE) curriculum for its professional staff under the banner of a newly launched program of study called Graf Repetti University.
 
Prior to joining Graf Repetti, Raspante worked for nine years at CAMICO Mutual Insurance Company, provider of professional and liability insurance and the nation’s largest CPA-owned mutual insurance company. He began as East Coast Regional Representative for loss prevention services and in 2007 became National Account Advisor.
 
A resident of Freehold, NJ, Raspante holds a BBA in Accounting from Baruch College (CUNY) and a Master’s of Science in Taxation from Washington School of Law. He also holds the designation Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. His professional affiliations include membership in the following organizations: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA); New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSCPA) where he currently serves on the Compilation and Review Committee; New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) where he participates in the A&A Interest Group and as an Editorial staff member; National Society of Tax Professionals (NSTP). He is also a member of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners’  (NCCPAP) Ethics Committee. He has been a frequent speaker within the accounting professional on issues relating to risk management and professional ethics.
